Well, if I get one that's already fully depreciated and take good care of it, theoretically I could come out at least even in a few years. If I owned it for 3 years, and saved $400 on insurance, I could probably sell it for within $400 of what I bought it for...

I'm very good at justifying ways to spend my money.

That means i'd pay itself off in.

900 months.

900?! What sort of Miata are you looking at?

If I got an NA for 5 grand that's only 450 months.

How many seats does your current car have? Perhaps you are also looking at a savings as far as not having to give people rides.

5. The Miata will be a toy.

I don't mind giving people rides, I drive to lunch whenever my friends and I go, I don't trust their cars and/or driving.

When I changed my insurance policy from 12k miles a year on a '13 BMW 135is, to 8k on the 135is and 4k miles on a '99 Grand Cherokee, my cost went down $4/mo.

That's what I've been missing. Hell until now I've just spent money without justifying it.

The BMW needs Koni's and new springs.

Hey this justification thing is neat!

Better than nothing I suppose.

I'm also curious to see what happens later this year when I finally turn 25. Hopefully the insurance will come down a bit for hitting that threshold, not that I'm paying that much now.

Yeah you'll definitely see your prices go down. As long as you don't get any more tickets.

That's the plan! Although I seriously don't understand how that woman is sitting. The man driving must be 3 feet tall.

I've only gotten one, and I don't think it went on my record.

They're all men, it's from a show called Workaholics. The dude driving is more than 6 feet tall easy.

I'm convinced buying a Miata is a good way to use your money!

I don't think it would ever be a bad use of my money.

Of course.

Hell when I bought my E30 my insurance went down around 60$ per month. That alone was enough to convince the wife.
